My Philosophy
I found my passion for makeup in high school, I used to read Seventeen magazine and attempt to do my makeup like woman on the cover. I experimented with makeup for years before attending the Makeup Designory in New York City. They gave me a world of knowledge about makeup and the industry. I learned everything from beauty to making and applying prosthetics. I really found my style of makeup when I started doing weddings. I felt so fulfilled being there for woman on such an important day.
After years of glamming woman for special events, I found a passion for healthy skin. As a skincare junkie, I noticed woman investing money into makeup but never skincare!!!
As a makeup artist, I always say your best makeup product is healthy skin. That’s when I decided to expand my knowledge and become an esthetician. I focus on makeup, facials, brows, and lashes. I believe every woman deserves to look and feel beautiful before and after makeup. Poppy Rose Beauty is for every woman that wants to enhance her natural beauty.

Hi I'm Amanda.
Most people know me as Mandy Makeup. I’ve been a makeup artist for over a decade and my makeup style a natural red carpet glam. My passion for healthy, glowing skin led me to becoming an esthetician, this was the next step in my career. That’s how Poppy Rose Beauty came to be!

I was born in California before moving to New York in high school. I am NOT a fan of the cold, so I eventually moved back to California and now putting down roots in Mississippi. This is the 5th state I’ve lived in so I’m used to change and making new friends. While I grew up boating, snowboarding, and playing volleyball I now have a passion for travel. I love visiting old, historic locations and going on ghost tours.
Only my close friends and family know I’ve been in the Air Force for almost 20 years. I joined the Air National Guard at 17, went AGR (active duty) for several years before transferring to the Reserves so I can achieve my bachelor’s degree.
I’m now finishing my last enlistment in the Reserves at Keesler AFB. I work with Aircrew Flight Equipment like parachutes, oxygen masks and more.
I’m blessed to work with woman everyday doing what I love.
